Term 3

Term 3 has started with a hiss and a roar. The children look refreshed (and the teachers too) and are happy to be back at school. This term will be a busy one of course. The term consists of the following:
Numeracy - Time
- Fractions, Decimals, Ratios
Literacy - Reading traditional stories and acting out various traditional stories
- Writing myths and fables
- Spelling - essential word lists and extension lists and 12 spelling words to learn
each week (one country and one NZ place name)
P.E. - Netball skills and games
- Gymnastics
- Skipping
- Fitness circuits
Inquiry - History of New Zealand
Art - Wearable Arts and Performance
Handwriting
Current events
Kapa Haka
The opportunity to take part in various sporting events
